Hi! I'm couchgremlin, a hard of hearing game designer. I started out with video games, getting a degree in Game Design from DigiPen and moving on to program and design an educational game for mobile. As I continued that job, I found that the medium wasn't as interesting to me - the choices were restrictive and my engagement with the players became a bit antagonistic.
Nowadays, I use the skills and know-how I've gained over the years to make tabletop roleplaying games (ttrpgs). I primarily write for Quest because I write tutorials. Quest is a really easy system for all ages to pick up and can easily be ported into Dungeons & Dragons (and from there, other games). Quest allows my tutorials to be a bit broad, so the content can work for an individual regardless of what system they're actually hoping to run.
I've really enjoyed writing ttrpgs. I can design mechanics and write a good story hook, but the real entertainment happens on the table. Its so exciting to see and I want to keep that safe. I want to see it grow in new and interesting ways. I want to be a part of that.
